Group polls & find dates

The group can't decide? Put it to a vote.

Most group trips don't die because no one wants to go. They die at "when can everyone go?", asked for the fourth time, answered by no one. Venture gives the group a way to actually decide: polls anyone can raise, a calendar that shows when everyone's free, and one tap to turn the winner into the plan.

Polls

Anyone asks. Everyone votes.

Raise a poll on anything the trip is stuck on: which week, which stay, hut dinner or self-catered. Options can be dates, places or anything else, single-choice or multi-choice, with an optional deadline. The tally updates live as votes land, and if the perfect option is missing, any member can add it.

  • Every member can raise a poll and vote, no edit access needed
  • Anyone can add a missing option while the poll is open
  • Set a deadline and the poll closes itself
Find dates

Answer "when can everyone go?" for good.

Each person marks the dates they can travel, as many ranges as they like. The calendar shades every day by how many people are free, so the overlap is visible instead of buried in the chat. The best windows rank themselves, honestly: "5 of 6 free, 8 days" means those five people can make every one of those days.

  • Add every window that works for you, not just one
  • A heatmap shows the group's overlap at a glance
  • "Ask everyone" nudges the people who haven't answered
From vote to plan

The vote ends in the plan, not the chat.

A WhatsApp poll or a Doodle finds a winner, then someone still has to carry it into the bookings. Venture doesn't stop at the result. Winning dates go onto the trip in one tap. A winning place goes straight into the itinerary. Everyone's notified when a poll opens and when it closes, and the trip the group already uses for costs and documents picks up from there.

  • "Use these dates" sets the trip dates in one tap
  • Winning places drop into the itinerary, pre-filled
  • Everyone hears the result, even the ones who didn't vote
Questions

Group decisions, answered.

Who can vote in a trip poll?

Everyone on the trip, whatever their role. You don't need edit access to raise a poll, add an option, or vote, because the people who haven't committed yet are exactly the ones the group needs to hear from.

What can the group vote on?

Anything. Options can be date ranges, places, or free text, with single-choice or multi-choice voting and an optional deadline. If an option is missing, any member can add it while the poll is open.

What happens when a poll closes?

The poll freezes, options reorder by votes, and the winner is highlighted. If the winner is a date range, an organiser writes it onto the trip in one tap. If it's a place, it goes straight into the itinerary.

How does the date finder work?

Each person marks the dates they can travel, as many ranges as they like. Venture shades a calendar by how many people are free each day and ranks the best windows, and any window can become a date poll or the trip dates. For the full playbook, read how to pick dates for a group trip.

How is this different from a WhatsApp poll or Doodle?

Those tools stop at the result, and someone still has to carry it into the plan. Venture polls live inside the same trip as the itinerary, costs and documents, so the winning answer becomes the plan in one tap.
