These Terms govern your use of the Venture app and website (the "Service"), operated by Venture App (ABN: 70 409 957 253) ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of the trips, documents, photos, and other content you add. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you (including syncing across your devices and sharing trips with people you invite).
If you forward booking emails to Venture, you authorise us to parse and store their contents to build your itinerary. We will not use forwarded email content for any other purpose.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: breaking the law; infringing others' rights; uploading malicious or unlawful content; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service; or using it to spam or harass.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable, and not to harass, abuse, or harm other members. You can report objectionable content or another member from within the app (the flag icon on an entry, check-in, or member) or by emailing support@getventure.app. We review every report and aim to act within 24 hours, removing the content and ejecting members who breach these terms.
Venture is free to use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, Premium plans, or paid gifts, and we do not take payment from you for the app. Venture is funded by affiliate commissions (see section 5). We may change features or how the app is funded in future, and will give notice of material changes as set out in section 11.
Some links to activities, accommodation, and travel services are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you book or buy through them, at no extra cost to you. This never changes what we recommend or the price you pay. Bookings are made with the partner, on their terms, not with Venture.
Venture surfaces third-party information such as maps, weather, currency rates, and travel advisories for convenience. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Always confirm critical details (e.g. safety advisories, entry requirements, booking times) with official sources. You are responsible for your own travel decisions.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or AUD 100 (and, as Venture is free, this will usually be AUD 100). Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including consumer guarantees).
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of New South Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
We may update these Terms; we'll post the new effective date here and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
